DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT

Having successfully pursued an English Literature with Film Studies (BA) degree at the University of Liverpool, Dion wanted to use his experiences as a Black British citizen to improve representation both on screen and behind the scenes. The three years at university confirmed the extraordinary opportunities the degree offered. English developed Dion’s comprehensive written and spoken communication skills, helping him become adept at arguing a point, framing a narrative and analysing various levels of meaning. Whilst, Film studies developed his critical reasoning, commercial and cultural awareness of the media and its creative industry.

 

After becoming an Alumni of the MAMA Youth Project, Dion started off in the Assistant Directing Department on a Disney/Marvel Film production, before successfully working his way up within a year to become Executive Assistant of the Writer/Producer of a greenlit Disney+ Production. Dion joined the Kudos team in 2022 where he wants to fully immerse himself into the world of scripted Film & TV Development, bringing innovation and creativity to life.
